Growthsperity #6 - Listas! Parte 3 de 3
Hola a todos! Acá la 6 entrega de Growthsperity! Este mensaje es muy importante espero que lo disfruten!
Un abrazo!
Federico
English Translation:
Hello to all, my name is Federico Ruiz, and this is the 3rd part of the Lists series..
We have talked about the "at least list", the "things to improve list" and why it is so important that our name is on that list and on the top!
Basically the lesson that I wanted to share with you today, is about the list of goals and dreams... Today I am sitting on my drum set, I have a motorcycle helmet and a very significant and symbolic boy scout shirt with which I achieved the highest rank on my group... What do these three things have in common?
That they were part of a list!, The drum set and the Scout shirt were when I was 14 YO and the motorcycly about 2 years later... The boke I bought then was smaller that the one I have today, but the key is that when you have your list, and you DECIDE to get them... there is no obstacle to inhibit you from getting whatever you wrote...
My wish for you is that we begin next year, and ther next decade crossing many items on your wish list, and that together we make the next decade, our best decade EVER!
Thank you for being here, thank you for listening and reading, this demands makes me a better person, makes me grow personally, and I get a lot of value from trying.
Have a wonderful day!
Until next time!
Federico

Sometimes to solve our issues we need to step aside
First of all excuse the late post, its actually Tuesday now, but I know you 'll forgive me.
Today I want to bring up a more practical topic to the blog, and it has to do with solving our problems we face everyday.
It is a technique borrowed from the Trading Course that I am doing from Van K Tharp.
Many times when we are trying to solve an issue, the person that gets most in the way, is ourselves.
We try to over analyze things, the pros the cons, etc. that we become paralyzed, and there is no worse decision during a crisis, than no decision at all.
So the technique helps you deal with those situations, that you don't really know what is happening with you, but you know something is up. A "part" of you is trying to tell you something but you just cannot decipher it.
Well the suggestion in this case is to bring this "part" in front of you, and asking "it" what is that it needs. as you read this, it may sound just to weird, but give it a try! You will be impressed how suddenly you start to understand better what is going on, and begin to be on your way to solving the issue. It also works when you have an internal conflict, a "part" of you agrees, but another "part" does not. Just brings both parts out of you, put them in front, and let them figure out a solution.
Although this may seem absolutely ridiculous, it actually has psychology involved.
Aren't we great at figuring out solutions for problems our friends and families have? Don't you always know what has to be done in other people's situations, in order to solve the problem? Well that's exactly what we do by "Dissociating", we look at it, from the outside, we can see the whole picture.
Give it a try! They only way we grow and prosper, is by making choices about our current situation. The minute we can't chose, the minute we are stopped.
Let's keep moving forward together, I will be sharing more techniques learned in the course. They have really helped me!!
Have a wonderful Holy Week.
Until Friday!

What gets you off the bed early?
Sometime ago I was asked this question, and to be perfectly honest I didn't have an answer right away. But it was a pretty good way to ask what excites you? and usually what drives us, also makes us happy.
For those of you who don't know me, I am a night person, going to bed at 1.30am is not uncommon. Obviously getting off the bed early is not necessarily a strong suit of mine, not because I sleep a lot but because I go to sleep late. Ok, but the story I wanted to share with you today is about something that happened just 2 days ago.
I had gone to bed around 2.30am, and at 6.30am, my cell phone rang... I was really asleep, and I never get calls at that time of day, so I picked up the phone imagining, What could've possible happened? I admit I was a little worried.
Turns out it was the delivery guy, the guy that brings me my Business Tools and my Products.
When I realized it was him, I could've felt like he was abussive and disrespectful, for calling me at that time, but it turns out I felt joy. I was receiving the tools I need to keep on building my future.
Now, after I received my stuff, I wonder if I would have felt the same way, were it something I didn't want to do?
What if your boss calls you and wakes you up in the middle of the night?
How do you feel, when you HAVE to wake up to go somewhere you don't want to go? It's hard isn't it?
Now consider the time when you had to wake up really early to start your vacations? It doesn't hurt as bad!
The point I am trying to make today, is that we can tell if we are doing what we really love doing, if when we get out of the bed, we feel lucky to have a new day, proud of the tasks that are coming our way during the day. We gather strength just by thinking about it and a grin shows up in our face.
How do yo feel when you get out of bed?
Reflect on your answer and then have a serious meeting with yourself, to either change it or make it even better!
Have a wonderful weekend and see you on Monday!

Have you noticed that most things in life start with "U"?
First I hope everyone had a blast this weekend, and if you didn't you should have!! So don't miss the next one! (Or any day for that matter)
Anyway, during the weekend I did some sorting regarding the things we want and cherish most in life, and was amazed at how they all began with "U".
What were those things? well, in my list were:
Freedom, Family, Happiness, Relationships, Friends, Love, Faith, Money, Laughter and many more, and as you can clearly see they all start with YOU.
Our life is like a big screen that reflects what we (The projector) beams out.
If you had a lens projecting out what is inside you, would you go see that movie? Would it be rated G or R?
If the movie we put out is awesome I can guarantee you that the room will be filled with viewers, and some of those viewers will help you create an even better movie, for some of those your movie will be a source of inspiration. Now, if your room is empty, is perhaps time to check your own movie and maybe create a better one.
Here is today's challenge for you...
Let's see who wins the Oscars!
It´s on!!!
Have a wonderful week and see you on Friday!

Do you have the Drive to be better?
Since the purpose of this blog is about challenging you to end the day a little (or a lot) better than you were when it started, I think is fair to ask you... Do you have DRIVE to improve everyday?
Improving is one of lives greatest feelings, because it makes you feel you did something, you converted time into knowledge or into something tangible.
When I was younger I dreamt about having the skills of the people I admired, whether it be in sports, school, business, etc. I focused on attaining the things you can SEE, like grades, a special move, the money, but I was focusing on the WRONG things. Those things are the result of something a lot more special, and that is the way we THINK.
To model somebody, we need not DO what they do, but rather THINK how the think. This became perfectly clear while going over a Trading Course from Van K Tharp. Most of the things we do are a direct reflection of how we think, is the decisions we make that determines what we ultimately do.
If you really admire somebody, focus on trying to decode the way they think, that is the faster way to attain their success.
When can we start this process? How about NOW!!!!
If you believe you are the best that you can be, then you must feel absolutely awesome, but if you know you can make some changes, STOP WAITING, act.
To close I will quote a great mentor. Mr Jim Rohn: "Is not the blowing of the wind that determines your future, but the set of the sail", have the drive to improve, to set a better sail this year than last year, and you will see how your ship will steer towards success and achievement.
Have a wonderful day,
See you on Friday!
